About the Journal
The aim of the journal it to provide a forum for publication of academic papers and discussion on business and economics. Research in applied business and economics is published by the Department of Business, Bifröst University; Faculty of Business Administration and Faculty of Economics, University of Iceland; Department of Business and Economics, Reykjavík University and the Central Bank of Iceland. Online ISSN is 1670-4851.
Journal articles are published in Icelandic or English. Articles in Icelandic are accompanied with abstracts in English. Publication dates on the web are: mid-June and mid-December. Submission deadlines are as follows: 1st of April (7th of April in spring 2026) for the June issue and 1st of October for the December issue. Templates for articles can be found here.
